Billing & Payment Guidance
Most billing is handled directly by your insurance carrier. We're happy to help you find the right place to pay, update your payment method, or sort out a billing question.
Making a payment
Most carriers offer multiple ways to pay: online portal, mobile app, autopay, phone IVR, mail, or one-time check. Look on your declarations page or billing statement for your carrier's payment website and phone number — that's the fastest way to make a payment that posts the same day.
Setting up autopay
Autopay (EFT or credit card) is the easiest way to avoid lapses and is usually eligible for a small carrier discount. Most carriers let you enroll inside their customer portal in just a few minutes.
Updating payment information
Card expired or bank account changed? Update it in your carrier's portal before the next draft date. If you'd like help locating your carrier or portal, open a service request and we'll point you in the right direction.
Past due notices or cancellation warnings
If you've received a cancellation or non-renewal notice, contact your carrier immediately to bring the policy current and confirm reinstatement terms. Reach out to us as well — we can help you understand the notice and explore options.
Premium changes at renewal
Premiums can change at renewal due to carrier rate filings, coverage changes, claims experience, vehicle/property changes, or eligibility updates. If you'd like us to review your renewal, send it over and we'll help you understand what changed and shop alternatives where appropriate.
Please note
- Submitting a service request does not change, cancel, or bind coverage.
- Policy changes are not effective until confirmed in writing.
